Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance and Control

• Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and maintain quality plans and procedures that align with industry standards and client specifications.

2. Compliance Monitoring

• Ensure compliance with national and international standards, codes, and regulations related to transmission projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to quality protocols.

3. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up to-date records related to quality inspections, tests, and audits.

9. Training and Development

• Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality management processes and requirements.
• Facilitate workshops or training sessions to improve quality awareness among employees and subcontractors.

5. Risk Management

• Identify potential quality-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project execution.
• Collaborate with other departments (engineering, procurement, construction) to address quality concerns proactively.

6. Supplier and Subcontractor Evaluation

• Evaluate and qualify suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet the quality requirements specified in project contracts.

Monitor the quality of materials and services provided, ensuring they meet project specifications.

7. Non-Conformance Management

• Investigate quality issues and non-conformances, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address identified issues and improve processes.

8. Performance Improvement

• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with project management to implement continuous improvement initiatives.

9. Final Inspection and Handover

• Oversee final inspection processes and ensure that all quality-related documentation is complete before project handover.
• Ensure that all project deliverables meet the defined quality standards before they are delivered to the client.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in Quality work in EHV Power Transmission Line & substation projects.
