Job Description Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer (QA/QC) with experience in Road and Infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for quality control, testing, inspection, and documentation for Concrete, PQC, Bitumen/Asphalt, Civil works, and construction materials including chemicals and bonding agents, as per approved standards.

Key Responsibilities

1.Implement Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)

2.Ensure work execution as per MoRTH, IRC, IS standards

3.Conduct and monitor quality tests for road and infra works

Quality Tests – Road / Infrastructure

Concrete & PQC

1.Cement, aggregate & concrete testing

2.Slump, compressive strength, flexural strength

3.PQC thickness, surface regularity, dowel/tie bar checks

4.Joint cutting and sealing inspection

Bitumen / Asphalt

1.Bitumen tests:

penetration, ductility, softening point, viscosity

2.Marshall stability & flow

3.Bituminous mix gradation & bitumen content

4.Field density & compaction checks

Earthwork & Civil Works

1.Field Density Test (FDT)

2.Proctor test, CBR

3.Plate load test (if required)

4.Masonry, plaster & structural checks

Materials & Construction Chemicals

1.Inspection of construction chemicals, admixtures, bonding agents, sealants

2.Verification of manufacturer test certificates & datasheets

3.Storage, shelf-life & compatibility checks

4.Trial mix and performance monitoring

Documentation & Coordination

1.Maintain test records, checklists & reports

2.Raise and close NCRs

3.Coordinate with site team, consultants & third-party labs

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Required Skills

1.Knowledge of MoRTH / IRC / IS codes

2.Experience in road & highway quality works

3.Good documentation & communication skills
