Quality Engineer-Electrical

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection plans for electrical equipment and installations in solar projects.
• Conduct inspections and tests of electrical components such as cables, switchgear, transformers, PV inverters, and protection devices to verify compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Review and verify quality documentation including material certificates, test reports, and compliance certificates.
• Perform root cause analysis on quality defects and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure adherence to relevant standards and codes (IEC, IS, IEEE) and company quality policies.
• Support internal and external audits related to electrical quality.
• Assist in supplier quality evaluations and vendor inspections.
• Maintain quality records and prepare reports on quality performance and non-conformance.
• Train site and project teams on quality standards and best practices.
• Continuously improve quality management systems and processes for electrical works.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-6 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control of electrical systems, preferably in solar EPC, power generation, or related industries.
• Good knowledge of electrical standards, testing procedures, and quality tools.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using quality inspection tools and documentation software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with solar PV electrical components and systems.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety standards relevant to electrical quality.
