Role Overview: As a Civil Quality Engineer for the precast manufacturing unit, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with technical drawings, material specifications, and applicable standards. You will play a crucial role in monitoring and inspecting all stages of precast element production, from mould preparation to demoulding. Additionally, you will be required to conduct raw material testing, perform inspections of precast components, maintain quality documentation, and coordinate with production and design teams to address quality issues proactively. Your role will also involve supervising quality control laboratory activities, assisting in inspections and audits, and ensuring the implementation of quality management systems. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and inspect all stages of precast element production. - Ensure adherence to quality standards based on project specifications and industry norms. - Conduct raw material testing and approve/reject based on results. - Perform dimensional and surface finish inspections of precast components. - Maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and test records. - Coordinate with production and design teams to address quality issues. - Supervise quality control laboratory activities. - Assist in third-party inspections and audits. - Implement quality management systems and site-specific quality plans. Qualifications Required: - Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering. - 2+ years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in a precast or concrete manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of concrete technology, mix design, and construction materials. - Familiarity with IS codes and international standards related to precast. - Good communication and reporting skills. - Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (preferred), and quality management tools. - Ability to work independently and in coordination with production teams.
