Quality Engineer - Civil

Role Overview: As a Civil Quality Engineer for the precast manufacturing unit, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process. This involves ensuring compliance with technical drawings, material specifications, and applicable standards. Your main duties will include monitoring and inspecting all stages of precast element production, conducting raw material testing, performing dimensional and surface finish inspections of precast components, maintaining quality documentation, coordinating with production and design teams, supervising quality control laboratory activities, assisting in third-party inspections, and ensuring the implementation of quality management systems. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and inspect all stages of precast element production. - Ensure adherence to quality standards based on project specifications and industry norms. - Conduct raw material testing and approve/reject based on results. - Perform dimensional and surface finish inspections of precast components. - Maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, test reports, and calibration records. - Coordinate with production and design teams to proactively address quality issues. - Supervise cube/cylinder testing and other quality control laboratory activities. - Assist in third-party inspections and audits. - Ensure the implementation of QMS (ISO 9001) and site-specific quality plans. Qualifications Required: - Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering. - 2+ years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in a precast or concrete manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of concrete technology, mix design, and construction materials. - Familiarity with IS codes and international standards related to precast. - Good communication and reporting skills. - Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (preferred), and quality management tools. - Ability to work independently and in coordination with production teams.
