About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer for our client, a leading pharma/biotech equipment manufacturer. The role focuses on inspections, compliance with standards, and ensuring quality across all stages of production.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong knowledge of ASME, ASTM codes and quality practices

Key Responsibilities

• Perform stagewise, in-process, raw material and final inspections
• Inspect bought-out items such as pumps, motors and valves
• Review raw material test certificates as per ASME
• Maintain calibration records of machines and instruments
• Interpret fabrication and GA drawings of vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns and storage vessels
• Apply ASME Sec. 8, Sec. 9, Sec. S and ASTM standards
• Knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ, welding types and symbols
• Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, PT, VT)
• Prepare Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
