Quality Coordinator – Mechanical Design & Service

Position - Quality Coordinator – Mechanical Design & Service Location - Factory (Hapur, Uttar Pradesh) + Field visits (as required) Reporting To - Owner / Production Head Experience - 1-2 years (Agri implements / fabrication / heavy fabrication background preferred) Qualification -Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering 🎯 ROLE OBJECTIVE To ensure consistent product quality, design standardisation, and quick resolution of service issues, while acting as a technical bridge between production, sales, and field service. This role is critical for reducing rework, warranty cost, and quality complaints as the company scales. 🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1️⃣ Quality Control & CoordinationDefine and monitor quality checkpoints at: Raw material Welding & fabrication Machining Assembly Paint / powder coating Prepare and maintain inspection checklists Approve first-piece and batch quality Identify root cause of: Rejections Rework Field complaints Ensure adherence to approved drawings & BOM 2️⃣ Mechanical Design & Improvement Prepare and maintain: 2D drawings (AutoCAD – mandatory) Basic 3D models (SolidWorks / Fusion – preferred) Support Product improvement (strength, durability, life) Design standardisation New product development Reduce part variation and simplify manufacturing 3️⃣ Service & After-Sales Support Handle technical service issues from dealers and customers Distinguish between: Manufacturing defects Usage / handling issues Prepare service SOPs and manuals Provide technical guidance to: Dealers Local mechanics (as required) Conduct limited field visits for critical issues 4️⃣ Cross-Functional Coordination with: Production Purchase Sales Provide technical clearance before bulk dispatch Support production during process improvement Maintain feedback loop from field to factory 📊 REPORTING & OUTPUTS Daily quality inspection sign-off Weekly rejection / rework report Monthly service complaint summary Design improvement suggestions (monthly / quarterly) 🧠 REQUIRED SKILLS Technical Skills AutoCAD (mandatory) Basic SolidWorks / Fusion (preferred) Knowledge of: Fabrication & welding Machining processes Agri implements (rotavator, land leveler, etc.) Behavioural Skills Strong quality mindset Practical problem-solving Can handle production pressure Good coordination & communication Willing to take ownership 📌 IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Hands-on mechanical engineer Experience in fabrication-based manufacturing Comfortable working on shop floor Willing to take responsibility for quality and service outcomes
