Quality Control in Chennai

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection & Material Control
• Inspection of incoming parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
• Ensure disposition of conforming and non-conforming material.
• Ensure traceability of parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and finished devices.
• Calibration & Metrics
• Coordinate calibration of gauges, instruments, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Monitor quality assurance process metrics.
• Documentation & QMS
• Distribute Controlled DMR documents to the Manufacturing team and Suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to QMS within SCM.
• Support in the implementation, updates, and changes to QMS processes and documentation.
• Participate in internal and external audits/inspections.
• Process & Continuous Improvement
• Coordinate the generation and implementation of KAIZENs.
• Manage process deviations – document, report, and coordinate review and disposition.
• Handle Dead on Arrival (DOA) and System Problem Report (SPR) issues related to SCM, ensuring resolution and documentation.
• Supplier Quality Management
• Evaluate, audit, and monitor supplier performance.
• Coordinate supplier development when required.
• Play a supportive role in the procurement of machined and sheet metal parts.
• Monitor special process validation activities.
• Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Prepare CAPA records for customer complaints related to SCM.
• Prepare CAPA records for NCPRs and coordinate with suppliers for NCMRs.
• Implement CAPA and monitor effectiveness.
