Job Description

Overview The Quality Engineer is responsible for overseeing the inspection and verification of products, processes, and systems to ensure that the Peak global quality standards are consistently met, while also managing preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and infrastructure to maximize operational efficiency. This role ensures that production output meets both internal and external customer expectations while minimizing downtime and optimizing resource usage. Your responsibilities encompass all aspects of the business, from strategy development to execution. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure seamless coordination across various functions. Duties and Responsibilities Quality Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems across all operational areas. Set quality assurance objectives and monitor compliance with standards (ISO, industry-specific regulations, etc.). Supervise and train quality control inspectors and technicians. Analyze quality performance data, identify trends, and lead corrective action initiatives. Coordinate with various departments to address quality issues and ensure continuous improvement. Handle technical escalations and customer complaints regarding product quality and ensure effective root cause analysis and resolution. Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to be completed within time frame assigned. Lead internal and external audits. Maintain documentation of inspection and test results, ensuring proper reporting and record-keeping. Calibration & Maintenance Responsibilities: Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution. Arrange to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues quickly to minimize downtime. Manage inventory of critical machine spare parts and coordinate with vendors or internal procurement team for procurement of machinery or services. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities. Prepare and manage the Quality, calibration & maintenance budget. Prepare and manage the Quality, calibration & maintenance system. Skills and Qualifications Strong collaboration skills required. Excellent knowledge of quality control principles and regulatory standards. Expertise in preventive maintenance strategies and asset management. Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights. Proficiency with SAP ERP systems, and quality management software. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quality assurance/control and maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment. ISO 9001:2015 Internal Audit Certification is required. Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certifications would be advantageous.
