Quality Assurance Lead

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Internal Audits & Compliance

• Conduct internal audits across various manufacturing units and branches.
• Identify non-conformities and recommend actionable improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Execute audits as per the defined audit plan for Synthite BI Units and APC Division.

2. Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

• Review and validate the effectiveness of CAPA implementations.
• Ensure prompt closure of non-conformities arising from internal, customer, and external audits.
• Monitor CAPA actions for long-term effectiveness and recurrence prevention.

3. Customer Complaint Handling

• Verify root cause analysis (RCA) for customer complaints.
• Develop CAPA plans and oversee their implementation.
• Evaluate CAPA effectiveness after an observation period to ensure resolution.

4. Process Improvements & Mapping

• Perform process mapping to identify areas for optimization.
• Drive process improvements at the shop floor level.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, and QA teams to enhance process efficiency and ensure compliance.

5. Critical to Quality (CTQ) & Stage Gate Identification

• Define and implement Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters in manufacturing processes.
• Establish and monitor stage gates at key process points to ensure consistent product quality.

6. Audit Support

• Provide active support during customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
• Coordinate audit documentation and ensure site preparedness.
• Lead RCA and CAPA initiatives for audit findings and ensure effective closure.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate QA documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and quality standards (FSSAI, ISO 22000, BRC, etc.).

8. Travel Requirements

• Travel to Synthite BI Units and APC Division branches as required for audits and QA-related activities.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• Masters degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry.

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of food safety standards: FSSAI, ISO, BRC, HACCP.
• Experience in internal audits, CAPA, root cause analysis, and process optimization.
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Certifications

• Lead / Internal Auditor Certification (ISO 9001 / ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / BRCGS)
• Six Sigma Green Belt (Preferred)
• HACCP Certification
