Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with over 5 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure working on Android platforms, particularly Android 9 and above, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Perform thorough regression, functional, integration, and performance testing across Android platforms (Android 9 and above).
• Create and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Appium, Selenium, Espresso, or other relevant frameworks.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand product requirements and provide testing feedback early in the development cycle.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or others.
• Ensure mobile app compliance with Google Play standards and device compatibility across multiple screen sizes and OS versions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software QA, with a strong focus on mobile (Android) applications.
• Solid experience working with Android 9 and newer OS versions, including real-device and emulator testing.
• Proficient in both manual and automation testing (Selenium, Cypress, etc.), methodologies.
• Regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing.
• Proficiency in one or more languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• API Testing and performance testing.
• Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Selenium, Postman, JMeter, LoadRunner

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
