QC Underwriting

As a Quality Control Analyst in the U/W QC department at Digital Risks, your role involves conducting in-line quality control reviews of mortgage loan files to ensure adherence to specific lender guidelines. Your primary focus will be on buy-pre and post-closing audits, compliance, and meeting client-required quality service levels. Your responsibilities include identifying potential fraud, processing/underwriting deficiencies, compliance violations, and other opportunities specific to the scope. You will collaborate with clients" quality departments and Digital Risks" internal Corporate QA to align and respond to quality plans and findings, ensuring consistency with company and client quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing and providing Quality Control feedback on loan file reviews conducted by internal staff - Verifying application completeness before final underwriting approval - Checking for compliance with program guidelines and borrower eligibility - Reviewing employment documentation, income calculations, credit reports, and liabilities - Ensuring completeness and compliance of appraisal reports - Identifying red flags within loan files and addressing them appropriately - Conducting other ad hoc reviews as required - Following quality control policies and procedures to ensure compliance - Providing accurate and constructive feedback to Team Managers and team members - Serving as a subject matter expert for the assigned scope - Supporting the leadership team as necessary To qualify for this role, you must: - Currently hold a position as a U/W QC with a proven track record of delivering excellent quality - Possess relevant skills and experience in quality control support within the mortgage loan industry - Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills - Exhibit excellent time management skills focusing on quality - Have knowledge of mortgage loan processing and underwriting principles and practices - Be self-motivated, creative, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment - Manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously and adapt to changing workflows - Have strong computer skills,
