Job Overview:

Quality Control Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct

  fabric inspections

  for defects, GSM, colorfastness, shrinkage, and overall fabric quality before production begins.
• Perform

  in-line and final garment inspections

  for school uniform categories (shirts, pants, skirts, tunics, blazers, sweaters, etc.).
• Monitor

  stitching quality

  , seam strength, thread count, and trimming across all stages of production.
• Check

  garment measurements and sizing standards

  to ensure alignment with client specifications.
• Inspect

  logos, labels, embroidery, and accessories

  (buttons, zippers) for proper placement and quality.
• Ensure final packaging, folding, and tagging meet brand and school-specific requirements.
• Document quality issues, maintain inspection reports, and escalate major deviations.
• Collaborate with production, tailoring, and dispatch teams to

  implement corrective actions

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  AQL levels

  and internal quality standards.
• Conduct

  random audits

  at vendor or tailoring units and ensure adherence to timelines and standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience:

  Minimum 2 to 4 years in quality control within the

  garment, textile, or apparel

  industry.

• Education:

  Diploma or Degree in

  Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or Apparel Manufacturing

  .
• Good knowledge of

  fabric properties

  , stitching methods, garment construction, and schoolwear standards.
• Familiarity with

  AQL standards

  , defect classification, and quality documentation.
• Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in

  English and Hindi

  (Marathi preferred).
• Should be based in or willing to relocate to

  Mumbai

  ; local field travel may be required.

Preferred Experience:

• Worked previously in

  school uniforms, kidswear, or institutional garments

  .
• Experience in handling

  bulk production QC and vendor coordination

  .
• Ability to work under pressure and manage

  multiple inspections simultaneously

  .
