Job Description

QA Lead - Automation (Playwright)

Type:

QA

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the QA automation strategy for web and API testing using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks
Own test planning, estimation, and execution for automation and manual testing activities
Execute and manage regression, sanity, and smoke automation suites
Review test cases, automation scripts, and test results to ensure quality standards
Mentor and guide QA engineers; conduct code and test reviews
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to resolve issues early
Ensure defect reporting with clear documentation, logs, screenshots, and traceability
Drive CI/CD integration of automation suites and monitor execution results
Track quality metrics and provide regular status and quality reports to stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

5-7 years
of
overall QA experience, with a strong focus on test automation.
Proven hands-on
experience in Playwright automation
Strong understanding of
Web UI
and
API automation
Solid experience in test planning, execution, and defect management
Experience working
with
Git and Azure DevOps / JIRA
Hands-on experience with
SQL for data validation and backend checks
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

Experience
using
Postman for API testing and validation
Knowledge of
CI/CD pipelines
and automated test execution
Exposure to
Docker or cloud-based test execution
environments
Experience in scaling automation frameworks or leading QA transformation initiatives.
