Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Python Developer with a strong interest in 3D Point Cloud Data processing, computer vision, and spatial data visualization. The ideal candidate will work on developing tools and algorithms to process, analyze, and visualize large-scale 3D datasets captured from LiDAR, drones, or 3D scanners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain Python-based pipelines for 3D Point Cloud data processing.
  • Perform data filtering, denoising, registration, and segmentation on large point cloud datasets.
  • Implement and integrate algorithms for object detection, classification, and feature extraction from 3D data.
  • Visualize and manipulate 3D data using libraries like Open3D, PCL (Point Cloud Library), or VTK.
  • Work with GIS and coordinate systems to ensure spatial accuracy and georeferencing of 3D datasets.
  • Collaborate with the ML team to train and deploy deep learning models for 3D semantic segmentation or object recognition.
  • Manage database integration for efficient storage, retrieval, and versioning of large 3D datasets.
  • Create interactive visualization tools or dashboards using Dash, Plotly, Cesium.js, or Three.js for 3D data exploration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python programming with experience in NumPy, Pandas, OpenCV, and Matplotlib.
  • Experience with 3D or spatial libraries such as Open3D, PyVista, PCL, or VTK.
  • Basic understanding of Point Cloud formats (e.g., .las, .ply, .pcd) and LiDAR data structures.
  • Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn for machine learning and deep learning applications.
  • Strong understanding of 3D geometry, coordinate transformations, and spatial analysis.
  • Experience with database systems (SQL or NoSQL) for managing large datasets.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and EDA techniques.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to accuracy and performance.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with GIS tools (QGIS, GDAL, or GeoPandas).
  • Exposure to web-based 3D visualization frameworks like Cesium.js, Three.js, or deck.gl.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage or 3D data APIs.
  • Knowledge of computer vision or 3D reconstruction techniques.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
