Purchasing Manager

As a Purchase Manager (Solar Division) at the company located in Sciencr city Ahmedabad, your role will involve managing procurement efficiently to ensure timely and cost-effective material availability in the solar industry. You should possess in-depth knowledge of solar products such as panels, inverters, and related components. Your responsibilities will include: - Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers for solar products like modules, inverters, batteries, structures, cables, etc. - Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules for cost efficiency without compromising quality. - Manage procurement planning based on project requirements and timelines. - Maintain updated vendor databases and build strong supplier relationships. - Ensure all materials meet technical and quality standards as per project and company requirements. - Collaborate with Project, Engineering, and Finance teams for seamless material flow. - Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and new product availability in the solar industry. - Prepare and maintain purchase reports, budgets, and forecasts. - Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - 3-8 years of experience in procurement or purchase management in the solar energy or renewable energy sector. - Strong knowledge of solar components, inverters, structures, and electrical items. - Proven track record of vendor development and supply chain management. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills. - Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement tools. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
