Purchasing Lead

In this role at Drip Capital as a Purchase Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing procurement operations for the sourcing business. Your responsibilities will include identifying and onboarding suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials for SME customers. You will collaborate with various teams to align procurement with business goals. **Key Responsibilities**: - Lead end-to-end procurement and purchasing operations for assigned categories (e.g., base metals, polymers, agri, etc.) - Identify and onboard qualified suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal quality and vetting standards - Work closely with category managers and customers to understand demand forecasts and align sourcing plans accordingly - Collaborate with logistics, finance, and risk teams for smooth execution of orders and resolution of operational issues - Maintain accurate records of POs, contracts, pricing, and supplier performance - Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support long-term sourcing strategy - Monitor market trends and price movements to make informed purchasing decisions - Implement cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or service **Qualifications Required**: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred) - 12-15 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in raw materials or B2B sourcing - Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills - Experience working in fast-paced environments or startups is a plus - Familiarity with supplier onboarding, vendor audits, and quality checks - Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and analytical thinking At Drip Capital, you will have the opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing fintech company that is revolutionizing trade finance and empowering global SMEs.
