Purchase Officer/Executive

As a Purchase Executive specializing in Raw Materials (Pharma API) for the Pharmaceutical / API industry, you will play a crucial role in managing procurement activities. Your primary responsibilities will include sourcing and procuring raw materials (specifically Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients - API) from both domestic and international suppliers. You will be expected to handle end-to-end procurement processes, which involve supplier identification, price negotiation, purchase order creation, and order tracking. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating imports of small-quantity raw materials for R&D purposes, particularly from countries like China. Your role will focus on ensuring the timely availability of materials while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with quality standards. Developing and maintaining a robust supplier database and establishing strong vendor relationships will be key in guaranteeing a reliable supply chain. Collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to understand material requirements and specifications is essential. Managing documentation related to imports, such as invoices, packing lists, MSDS, COA, and customs clearance, will also fall within your scope of work. Compliance with regulatory and company procurement policies is a critical aspect that you will need to adhere to diligently. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field. A minimum of 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in raw material procurement for the pharmaceutical industry is required. Hands-on experience with international imports, especially from China, is highly desirable, along with familiarity with customs clearance procedures and regulatory documentation. Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills are essential to succeed in this position. Proficiency in ERP software and the Microsoft Office Suite will be advantageous. This is a full-time position that requires you to work in a day shift at the designated in-person work location.,
