Key Responsibilities

• Source and Procure Materials: Identify, evaluate, and source APIs, intermediates, specialty chemicals, and other raw materials required for operations. iimjobs.com
• Vendor Identification & Development: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain; evaluate vendor capabilities and performance.
• Quotation & Negotiation: Request quotations, negotiate commercial terms, prices, lead times, and contract conditions to achieve cost-effective procurement. iimjobs.com
• Purchase Order Management: Prepare and issue purchase orders; follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, manage order confirmations, delivery schedules, and documentation.
• Quality & Compliance: Collaborate with QA/QC to ensure purchased materials meet required specifications; support documentation for regulatory and quality compliance. iimjobs.com
• Inventory Coordination: Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement actions to prevent stockouts while avoiding overstocking.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments including production, logistics, finance, regulatory and quality teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Cost Analysis & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery performance, and cost savings achieved; prepare procurement reports for management.
