Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Engineer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in purchasing castings, stamping, bought-out items, machining parts, and plastic parts and will have 3-5 years of experience in purchase , supply chain management, preferably in a submersible pump and motor industry environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcurement

Purchase castings, bought-out items, machining parts, and plastic parts: Purchase materials, components, and services from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze and resolve purchasing issues: Analyze and resolve purchasing issues, including supplier disputes, quality problems, and delivery delays.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies: Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Supplier Management

Build and maintain supplier relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness of purchased materials.
Negotiate contracts: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and quality.
Manage supplier performance: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal expectations.

Technical Expertise

Provide technical expertise: Provide technical expertise to the procurement team and internal stakeholders on purchased materials, including castings, bought-out items, machining parts, and plastic parts.
Ensure quality and specification compliance: Ensure that purchased materials meet quality and specification requirements, including industry standards and internal specifications.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure alignment with business objectives and internal requirements.

Cost Savings and Quality Management

Identify opportunities for cost savings: Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to achieve targets.
Implement quality management processes: Implement quality management processes to ensure that purchased materials meet quality and specification requirements.
Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs): Monitor and report KPIs, including cost savings, quality, and delivery performance.
