Purchase Engineer

Position:

Company:

• Conduct vendor assessment & selection based on technology, quality, cost, delivery capacity, etc.
  
• Handle development, localization & sourcing of vendors along with procurement & development of new parts.
  
• Manage complete procurement cycle: floating inquiries, receiving quotations, preparing comparative statements, handling costing, negotiation, order finalization with management, releasing purchase orders, and vendor follow-up until delivery & payment.
  
• Negotiate purchasing documents such as NDAs, general purchasing terms, specific contracts, and quality assurance agreements.
  
• Coordinate with technical teams across subsidiaries & mother company for localization projects.
  
• Support the technical order management team in project realization.
  
• Drive initiatives for cost reduction, supplier rationalization & disposal of non-moving inventory.
  
• Liaise cross-functionally with design, quality, order management, stores & logistics, production & finance to improve procurement & order-related processes.
  
• Participate in order management & production meetings to support smooth execution.
  
• Assist in procurement & administrative duties related to MRO, capital equipment purchases, contracting services, outsourced services, vendor development, and contracts administration.
  
• Support management & internal departments in achieving company business objectives.
  

Job Specification

• Education:

  B.E. Mechanical

• Experience:

  13 Years in Purchase / Procurement (preferably in Machinery / Manufacturing industry)

• Other Requirements:

• Must be ready to travel daily for supplier visits (minimal office presence).
  
• Strong negotiation & vendor management skills.
  
• Good communication, analytical & coordination skills.
