Publishing Consultant / Business Development

Job Description: As a Publishing Assistant, your role will involve assisting authors with their publishing-related queries and closing deals. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the publishing industry, including authors, marketeers, distributors, etc., will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage the acquisition process for new titles, which includes evaluating manuscripts, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the editing and production process. Developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies for both new and existing titles will also be a key aspect of your role. Working closely with authors to develop and execute marketing plans for their books is another important responsibility. It is essential to stay up-to-date with industry news and trends and make recommendations to the publishing house leadership team.
