Publishing Consultant / Business Development

Salary: 20 - 30K (240K - 360K per annum)

Responsibilities

• Assist authors with their publishing related queries and close the deals.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the publishing industry, including authors, marketeers, distributors, etc.
• Manage the acquisition process for new titles, including evaluating manuscripts, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the editing and production process.
• Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies for new and existing titles.
• Work closely with authors to develop and execute marketing plans for their books.
• Stay up-to-date with industry news and trends and make recommendations to the publishing house leadership team.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with community members, influencers, and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for reading and literature will be preferred.
