About the Role

We are looking for a high-energy, media-savvy PR Manager to join our growing Sports PR practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of India’s sporting ecosystem, proven experience in managing sports clients, and a strong network of regional media and influencers. You will serve as the key account lead for sports-related clients in Delhi NCR or Bengaluru, depending on location.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day account lead for sports clients – managing all communication deliverables and client interactions.
• Design and execute regionally relevant PR strategies, tailored to the sporting calendar and fan engagement goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with sports, regional, and mainstream media.
• Drive press outreach for player announcements, league launches, match days, sponsor integrations, and community campaigns.
• Craft compelling regional stories, press releases, event recaps, interview opportunities, and media kits.
• Manage press events, media interactions, and influencer activations on-ground.
• Work closely with internal teams and partner agencies (digital, creative, influencer) to ensure integrated campaigns.
• Track media coverage, prepare reports, and share insights with clients.
• Handle crisis communication and issue management in high-pressure sports environments.

Must-Have Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in PR or communications, with minimum 3 years working on sports clients or events.
• Strong understanding of Indian sports culture – including leagues, athletes, fan behavior, and media formats.
• Proven experience in client servicing and ability to manage multiple sports properties or teams.
• Excellent command of English and the local language:

• Proficiency in Kannada (spoken and contextual understanding).
• Strong media relations skills with a robust network of journalists across sports and general interest publications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during key sporting events.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience at a PR agency handling sports, lifestyle, or entertainment clients.
• Ability to craft narratives that blend sport, culture, and brand messaging.
• Passion for sports and familiarity with both grassroots and elite-level formats.
• Experience in working with athletes, federations, franchises, or sports startups.
