Account Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Leadership:

•  Act as the senior point of contact for key BFSI clients, ensuring delivery of strategic counsel, high-impact campaigns, and measurable results.

• Strategy & Planning:

•  Develop and implement integrated PR strategies aligned with client objectives in the BFSI domain including IPOs, quarterly results, fintech launches, insurance campaigns, investor relations, etc.

• Media Relations:

•  Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business and financial journalists across national and regional platforms. Pitch stories and manage media interactions effectively.

• Content Development:

•  Oversee the creation of high-quality content including press releases, op-eds, keynote speeches, Q&A briefs, crisis communication responses, and more.

• Team & Budget Management:

•  Lead and mentor a team of executives and managers. Plan and manage account budgets and ensure timely delivery.

• Crisis & Reputation Management:

•  Provide strategic counsel during sensitive or high-impact issues affecting BFSI clients’ reputation or operations.

Requirements:

• Proven track record (8+ years) of managing BFSI accounts in a reputed PR consultancy or corporate communications role.
• Strong understanding of the BFSI ecosystem, regulatory environment, and capital markets.
• Excellent media contacts in the financial and business journalism space.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and team members simultaneously.
• A proactive, client-focused approach with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
