Job Overview:

Peoples University is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced psychologist to join our team . The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology and 2-5 years of hands-on counseling experience (academic, clinical or corporate). A certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills in English are a must, as the role involves regular interaction with students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide individual and group counseling services to students, helping them navigate personal, academic, and emotional challenges.

* Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students’ mental health needs.

* Design and implement effective intervention strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), for students with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns.

* Maintain confidential records of counseling sessions in compliance with ethical standards and university policies.

* Work closely with faculty, academic advisors, and student affairs personnel to ensure students receive holistic support.

* Facilitate workshops and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, and emotional well-being for students and staff.

* Respond to urgent psychological crises and provide necessary interventions.

* Stay updated on current psychological research, therapeutic approaches, and university policies related to student well-being.

* Provide psycho education to students on mental health topics, coping strategies, and self-care techniques.

Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in Psychology (MA in Psychology) from a recognized institution.

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in counseling or clinical psychology, preferably in a university or educational setting.

Certifications: Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is highly preferred.

Skills:

* Strong clinical skills in individual and group counseling.

* Proficient in psychological assessment techniques and diagnostic evaluations.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

* Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Additional Requirements:
