The Role

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Freelance Psychiatrist to join our team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health conditions, offering both therapy and medication management. This is a flexible contract role designed for someone who values autonomy and wants to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations (history, mental status exams, and diagnostic tools)
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication, psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, etc.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans over time, tracking patient progress and outcomes
• Provide crisis intervention and support when needed
• Educate patients (and, where appropriate, families) about diagnoses, treatment options, and mental health strategies

Qualifications & Skills

• Medical degree in Psychiatry (M.D., D.O., or equivalent)
• Valid license to practice.
• Prior experience treating a variety of mental health disorders (e.g. mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders)
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy modalities
