The company has successfully developed and tested new technology to address this issue and is expanding its operations in India to support its global initiatives.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Protection & Application Engineer with a strong background in power system protection, relay coordination, switchgear applications, and substation automation. The ideal candidate should be adept at developing advanced protection schemes, performing power system studies, configuring IEDs, and integrating SCADA-based automation solutions.

The role requires a deep understanding of IEC, IEEE, ANSI, and NERC standards, expertise in EPLAN-based electrical design, protection relays from multiple manufacturers, and advanced factory acceptance testing (FAT). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring power system reliability and security while working closely with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related specialization.

·      Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in protection engineering, switchgear application, and substation automation.

·      Proven expertise in protection system design, relay logic programming, and SCADA integration.

·      Expertise in Protection Relays: ABB, Siemens, Schneider, SEL, GE, and Alstom etc

·      Proficiency in Relay Configuration & Testing Tools:

o  Omicron Test Universe

o  SEL AcSELerator

o  Siemens DIGSI 5

o  ABB PCM600 & GE Enervista

·      Advanced Power System Analysis Software:

o  ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ASPEN OneLiner, CYME, PSCAD, SKM PowerTools

·      SCADA & Substation Automation:

o  IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC-UA, IEC 60870-5-104

·      Design & Simulation Software:

o  EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB Simulink
