About the Role

Proposal Writer / Business Development Executive

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and analyze solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Task Orders, Work Requests).
  • Prepare

    Gap Analysis

    and conduct

    SWOT assessments

    to align proposals with organizational strengths.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on

    Go/No-Go decisions

    and proposal strategies.
  • Draft

    executive summaries, technical content, management approaches, and compliance matrices

    .
  • Manage proposal versioning, maintain repositories, and ensure adherence to proposal-writing standards.
  • Conduct

    market research

    using platforms like

    GovWin, BidNet Direct, Periscope S2G, BidPrime

    to identify opportunities.
  • Support the creation of

    NDAs, Teaming Agreements

    , and facilitate partner discussions.
  • Participate in

    kick-off meetings

    ,

    strategy calls

    , and post-submission

    lessons learned

    sessions.
  • Maintain a

    past performance database

    and monitor addendums, amendments, and clarifications.
  • Coordinate with offshore and onsite teams to ensure timely and high-quality submissions.
  • Assist the business development team in generating leads, maintaining client relationships, and identifying new markets.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of

    US Public Sector procurement process

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    proposal management tools

    and research platforms.
  • Excellent

    analytical, research, and writing skills

    .
  • Proficiency in

    MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Project)

    .
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with

    technical bids for IT services

    .
  • Exposure to proposal management in

    State & Local government contracts (US)

    .
  • Familiarity with tools such as

    ZoomInfo, Infotelligent, RealPro, Discovery.org

    for lead generation.
  • Knowledge of

    business development lifecycle

    and pre-sales activities.

Educational Background

  • B.Tech

    in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent degree.
