Job Title: IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Administrator Location: Hyderabad / Pune / Bangalore Experience: 4 to 5 years (Maximum) Interview Process:Face-to-Face (F2F) Interview Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Administrator with experience in installation, upgrade, configuration, and maintenance of the IBM Planning Analytics suite. The ideal candidate will have expertise in environment integration, system administration, security management, cloud integration, and performance tuning. You will also support development and QA cycles, lead deployment efforts, and ensure robust alerting and monitoring practices are in place. Key Responsibilities: Install, upgrade, and configure IBM Planning Analytics components: TM1 Server, TM1Web, PA Spreadsheet Service, and PA Workspace . Integrate environments with Active Directory via Cognos security authentication. Perform database backup & restore across regions for Dev, QA, and Production support. Manage user, group, and object security within Planning Analytics. Promote Planning Analytics code through GitHub, Jenkins/PPM , and migrate PAW reports using Life Cycle Management (LCM) . Integrate Planning Analytics SaaS with other cloud services for file and database operations. Troubleshoot environment issues and liaise with IBM to resolve logged problems, bugs, and enhancement requests. Configure Splunk monitoring for alerts on process errors, job completion, delays, and server health. Build and schedule Planning Analytics jobs and integrate with Control-M Enterprise Scheduler . Develop automation scripts using Shell and Python . Administer IBM Planning Analytics Cloud: Manage databases, PAW books, and configurations (e.g., tm1s.cfg). Set up system alerts and monitor resources for performance and availability. Conduct performance testing of TM1 and PA Workspace during upgrades and track system resource metrics. Monitor and optimize system capacity and utilization. Prepare and execute unit test cases , and document test results. Nice to Have: Experience in TM1 development : Building dimensions, cubes, metadata, and data loads using TurboIntegrator (TI) scripts. Creating aggregation rules and reports within Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) . Qualifications: Proven experience in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) system administration and operations. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub and Jenkins. Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python). Experience working with cloud and enterprise scheduling tools (Control-M). Knowledge of enterprise security integration and system monitoring solutions like Splunk. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
