6+ years of hands-on experience as a
Splunk Engineer
Strong expertise in
Splunk Cost Management
and license usage optimization
Proven experience in identifying and resolving
performance bottlenecks
Advanced knowledge of
SPL (Search Processing Language)
and dashboard optimization
Strong understanding of
Splunk architecture and data models
Experience with
Splunk integrations
Proficiency in
Python scripting
Experience in
system monitoring and incident triaging
Good to have experience with
New Relic or similar monitoring tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Strong stakeholder management and leadership abilities

Roles & Responsibilities

Inventory and analyze
all Splunk dashboards across applications
and perform cleanup of unused or redundant dashboards
Optimize
heavy-usage Splunk

searches and dashboards
for performance and cost efficiency
Track and analyze
Splunk index-level access
to understand
user vs. cost utilization
Review and optimize
standard and recurring SPL queries
Drive Splunk optimization initiatives across
80–100 Splunk indexes
Lead and coordinate with a
240+ member RTS team
Establish and enforce
Splunk best practices
across teams
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to improve platform efficiency and governance
Educate, mentor, and groom team members on
Splunk best practices

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing Splunk in
large-scale enterprise environments
Exposure to
CI/CD or automation
for Splunk operations
Prior experience leading cross-functional technical teams
