Job Description

In this role of Junior Proposal Specialist at Smiths Detection in Gurugram, Haryana, India, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end bid and proposal development for global opportunities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with bid managers, sales, architects, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and structure technical and commercial content efficiently. - Ensuring accurate mapping of solutions to tender requirements, particularly in the domain of digital networking. - Maintaining quality control by editing, proofreading, and ensuring document consistency. - Managing document workflows, proposal repositories, and version histories effectively. - Contributing to the improvement of proposal processes through templates, tools, and reusable content. - Supporting bid scheduling, planning, and document coordination efficiently. - Staying updated on digital trends in networking, cybersecurity, and security screening technologies. - Assisting in structuring proposals aligned with business goals and customer expectations effectively. Qualifications required for this role include: Education & Experience: - A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory. - 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, bid support, or technical writing is preferred. Technical Skills: - Understanding of cybersecurity, digital networking (TCP/IP, infrastructure, connectivity). - Knowledge of aviation/ports security screening technology is a plus. - Proficiency in MS Office; experience with automation tools and SharePoint is preferred. - Strong content writing, coordination, and multi-bid handling experience. Soft Skills: - Excellent communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines effectively. - Collaborative, proactive, and proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with FrameMaker is an added advantage.
