Projects & Maintenance Engineer

As a Project Manager for a manufacturing facility located in Bavla near Ahmedabad, your primary responsibility will be the successful implementation and execution of projects. Your key responsibilities will include: - Installation and commissioning of various machineries, equipments, utilities, piping, and mechanical engineering components, with a preference for electrification and automation. - Managing a range of machineries including reactors, filters, centrifuges, vessels, motors/pumps, etc., as well as utilities such as boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, RO systems, and more. - Planning and conducting routine maintenance activities for all machinery and utilities to ensure safety and compliance with GMP standards. You will also be responsible for developing proactive maintenance systems. - Diagnosing faults in machinery, suggesting improvements for efficiency, and responding to emergencies as needed. - Maintaining records of faults and maintenance history, managing inventory, supervising contractors and technical teams, and creating/maintaining procedures and SOPs. - Conducting DQ, IQ, PQ, OQ of all machineries and equipments. - Leading a team, providing training, and managing budgeting activities. The ideal candidate for this role would have a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, at least 10 years of experience in project management and maintenance in the API or Chemical Industry, good knowledge of engineering principles, and proactive initiative-taking abilities. You should possess excellent communication skills, strong implementation and execution capabilities, leadership qualities, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The expected outcomes of your role include maintaining all machineries, equipments, and utilities in optimal working conditions, minimizing breakdowns, and reporting to the Co-Founder & Plant Manager.
