Role: Project Planning & Scheduling

We are looking for a Project Planning & Scheduling to support a utility in developing and executing infrastructure projects required for large-scale renewable energy integration. The role focuses on coordinating planning activities, preparing detailed schedules, and ensuring that grid upgrades, new assets, and interconnection requirements are delivered efficiently and in alignment with renewable adoption goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules for transmission, distribution, and substation upgrades associated with renewable integration.
• Coordinate with engineering, system planning, construction, procurement, and regulatory teams to gather technical and planning inputs.
• Identify infrastructure needs such as new substations, line extensions, reactive power support, communication systems, and interconnection facilities.
• Support feasibility studies and system impact assessments for renewable integration projects.
• Track project progress, milestones, resource requirements, and budget constraints.
• Analyze schedule risks, identify critical paths, and recommend mitigation actions.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for project leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, utility processes, and regulatory requirements related to grid modernization and renewable integration.
• Assist in evaluating impacts of high renewable penetration on grid reliability, protection schemes, and system stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Project Management, or related field.
• Experience in utility project planning, grid upgrades, renewable integration, or infrastructure scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution systems, interconnection standards, and grid modernization initiatives.
• Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or SAP.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, storage) and their grid impacts.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and utility planning methodologies.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects with varied technical requirements.
