Project Planning and Controls Specialist

Role Overview: As the Lead Planner at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in project planning, scheduling, and control activities to support Project Managers in both tender and execution phases. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated schedules and budgets, monitoring project progress, and ensuring adherence to critical path methodology and Six Sigma standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead planning, scheduling, and control activities to support Project Managers - Develop and maintain integrated, resource-loaded schedules and man-hour budgets - Monitor project progress, analyze deviations, and recommend corrective actions - Ensure adherence to critical path methodology, Six Sigma standards, and internal/external guidelines - Coordinate cross-functional activities, conduct site visits, and collaborate with teams to develop recovery plans - Escalate scheduling issues and provide resource optimization inputs - Issue regular progress reports, schedule updates, and productivity metrics to stakeholders - Manage cross-functional interactions, negotiate timelines and deliverables, and ensure compliance with regulations Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in electrical background - 7 to 10 years of professional work experience in project management domain - Experience in planning EPC projects with electrical scope of works preferred - Proficiency in project management plans, specifications and estimates - Strong planning and execution skills with the ability to manage complex projects independently - Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for detailed scheduling and analysis - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions - Proficiency in spoken and written English language (Note: Omitting any additional details of the company mentioned in the JD),
