Project Officer

The role of a Crop Advisor at Godrej Agrovet Limited involves working closely with farmers in Pune (Manchar, Baramati, Shirur, Parner, Indapur, Daund, Bhigwan) to provide guidance on crop protection practices and enhance productivity. As a Crop Advisor, you will be responsible for conducting field visits, collecting data, organizing farmer meetings, and field days. Your main focus will be to offer advice and training to farmers on crop management, utilizing your knowledge in Crop Protection, Agrochemicals, and agronomic practices. To excel in this role, you should possess fieldwork experience and have the ability to conduct demonstrations and farmer meetings effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to engage with farmers and provide them with valuable insights. Problem-solving and analytical skills will also be crucial in addressing various challenges that may arise in the field. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field. Previous experience in the agricultural industry would be advantageous. Proficiency in local languages will be an added benefit in effectively communicating with farmers and building rapport with them.
