The Karuna Practice serves as India's contextual platform for two pioneering and research-backed programs developed at Emory University’s Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics: CBCT® (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training) and SEE Learning® (Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning). These programs are rooted in fostering compassion, social awareness, and ethical understanding. The Karuna Practice is dedicated to promoting these transformative educational frameworks to cultivate emotional and ethical well-being. By integrating research with practical application, the organization aims to empower individuals and communities.


Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team at The Karuna Practice. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Project Manager leads execution and ensures that strategic objectives are translated into actionable plans. This role involves end-to-end project management, from planning to implementation, monitoring, and adaptive learning. The Project Manager also oversees operational systems, coordinates cross-functional teams, and maintains clear communication with internal stakeholders, implementing partners, and vendors to drive effective program delivery and impact. Importantly, the Project Manager ensures that operational coordination, monitoring, and data tracking feed into delivery of The Karuna Practice’s annual goals, with reflection and learning informing future cycles.


Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Project Management to develop, implement, and oversee project plans effectively.

·        Experience or expertise in any of the following areas is a plus: Social Emotional Learning, Wellbeing, Mental Health, Training and Facilitation

·        Proven experience as a Project Manager with a track record of managing projects of varying complexity and scale.

·        Excellent organizational skills and ability to be a self-starter who operates effectively independently, with a demonstrated track record of consistently meeting deadlines.

·        Experience in organising and delivering capacity-building initiatives

  • ·        Ability to gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources, identify what is most important to consider and prioritize, and use it to make timely and confident decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
