Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee Electrical, HVAC, Fire, Plumbing, and Low Voltage (LV) Systems in high-value construction projects. The role requires expertise in design, construction, and commissioning while ensuring project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Construction Management & Execution

• Lead and coordinate MEP system construction & commissioning, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Manage contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety protocols.
• Prepare and track detailed construction & commissioning schedules.
• Oversee contract administration, including variations, change orders, progress tracking, and payment certifications.
• Chair and document site meetings with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.

2. Technical Expertise & Quality Control

• Ensure high-quality design, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems, including:
• Electrical Systems: Substations, Transformers, HV/LV Switchgear, Protection Systems, Diesel Generators, Lighting & Earthing.
• HVAC: Chillers, Cooling Towers, Ventilation, Ducting, Heat Load Calculations, and Air Distribution Systems.
• Fire Protection: Fire Hydrants, Sprinklers, Pumps, Gas Suppression, Fire Alarms, and Safety Compliance.
• Plumbing: Water Distribution, RWH, WTP, STP, Hydro-pneumatic Systems, and Irrigation.
• BMS & LV Systems: PLC, SCADA, Security, CCTV, Lighting Controls, and Data/Voice Communication.
• Conduct risk assessments, mock-up reviews, and ensure design compliance with industry standards.
• Track and resolve non-conformance issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

3. Site Supervision & Health & Safety Compliance

• Enforce health & safety regulations, ensuring a secure work environment.
• Review contractor method statements, quality plans, and safety protocols.
• Establish and monitor risk registers, anticipating potential hazards and taking corrective action.
• Ensure timely testing, inspection, and approval of installations.

4. Project Documentation & Handover

• Maintain as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and statutory compliance records.
• Assist in obtaining statutory approvals, occupancy certificates, and final project clearances.
• Conduct final inspections, snag tracking, and defect rectification before handover.
• Provide post-completion reports, lessons learned, and recommendations for future projects.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, project execution, and contract management.
• Expertise in load calculations, short-circuit studies, HVAC design, and fire safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Projects, and industry-specific software.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and ensure cost efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
