Job Description

  • TheProject Manager is responsible for effective & efficient execution of assigned projects. This includes preparation of project plans, contingency plans, management of resources (time, money and people) and stakeholders (customer, vendors, internal customers).
  • As required. For assistance in technical specifications, design changes, approvals etc. Frequent interaction. Discussions on project implementation status, to ensure that the project is completed and delivered within stipulated timelines.
  • Regular interaction. Discussions on cost of materials / manpower, availability, new contractors / vendors etc. Resolution of issues with vendors / contractors
  • As required. Interactions on project progress, issues, technical clarifications etc.
  • Ensures execution of project(s) within stipulated time and cost
  • Provides post project support to the customer, as required
  • Managing Contracts/ Technicians &vendors
  • Gathers customer requirements through interactions with customers and Pre Sales
  • Obtains necessary approvals for supply of manpower and / or materials as required
  • Ensures that project expenses are within budgeted costs
  • Manages manpower & materials to ensure timely completion of projects; coordinates with internal departments as required
  • Coordinates / interacts with SCM and finance teams to effectively manage vendor relationships and ensure support for project delivery.
  • Allocates work appropriately & monitors work of team members and / or contract employees
  • Prepares daily report on work progress and sends it to the Head - Project delivery
  • Participates in review meetings or related meetings with customer; sets timelines, resolves issues, clarifies technical queries, reports on project status & so on during these meetings
  • Ensures that network implementation / installation is in alignment with the customer's requirements and as per design /planagreed upon.
  • Resolves customer concerns / issues which come up after installation of project
  • Ensures that customer queries are addressed promptly
  • Interacts with customers to ensure that customers are satisfied with the support as well as the installation
  • Support to Identifies vendors / contractors for supply of materials as well as manpower for the projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for developing strong and lasting relationships with customers and on-time delivery of parts in coordination with operations, planning team and other internal stakeholders.
  2. Single point of contact for all customers for all communications on delivery and services.
  3. Managing and motivating the entire team to realize their full potential in alignment with the goals of the department/business unit.
  4. Responsible to ensure conducting Contract review for all PO received from customers with the cross-functional team and track the actions for closure.
  5. On-time escalations to prevent risk of delivery failure to operations and planning team.
  6. Communicate to customer the status of parts and issues if any in prior.
  7. Submit Sales report to management for monthly reviews and yearly reviews
  8. Review with engineering team for progress of new product development.
  9. Ensure Weekly / monthly reviews were conducted with cross-functional team and discuss on status and issues and track actions for closure.
  10. Responsible to ensure smooth flow of requirements and updates from customers to operations and planning team.
  11. The position requires frequent interactions/engagement with other departments and the candidate were expected to develop strong relationships with all internal stakeholders.
  12. Candidate should also pitch in to interact with suppliers to resolve issues when required and build strong relationship.
  13. Responsible to track and follow up with customers for on-time payment.

Desired Candidate

  1. 10 15 years total experience in Aerospace/Auto Industry.
  2. Program Management Experience is desired, PMP preferred
  3. Strong people management & team player skills
  4. Good ability to form and nurture relationships with stakeholders
  5. Excellent Written and Oral English Communication skills
  6. Knowledge of SAP is preferable
