Technical Writer

Job Summary

We are looking for a talentedtechnicalwriterto help create quality documentation for software applications. Thetechnicalwriterwill consult with business analysts, developers, testers and implementation teams to prepare user guide, implementation guide, and support guide. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and an innovative thinker with strong focus on quality and continuous focus on improving existing processes.

Core Duties

• Writing complex documentation for software
• Working with software development teams designing and implementing powerful product Tours
• In-depth knowledge of developing online help and web-based documentation with a strong understanding of HTML
• Presentingtechnicalinformation in a live setting, such as classroom training, presentations, or video conference.
• Create in-depth user guides, FAQs,technicaloverviews, and in-product help documentation.
• Prioritizing and understanding the lifecycle of documentation from pre-release through on-going maintenance.
• Should have high level understanding of IT concepts including software architecture
• Excellent, clear, clean, accessible writing; obsessive eye for consistency andtechnicalaccuracy.
• Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to collaborate with multiple SMEs from different backgrounds
• Experience in developingtechnicaldocuments for Software product is must. Experience in SaaS based product is value added

Education

• Bachelor's degree intechnicalwriting, journalism, communications, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience required in an IT development environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proven working experience intechnicalwriting of software documentation
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complextechnicalconcepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent written skills in English
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
