Project Manager - Manufacturing (Aerospace)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage aerospace manufacturing projects from initiation to completion
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables align with customer requirements
• Oversee risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies
• Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations and standards
• Implement quality management processes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Resolve project issues and conflicts
• Manage resource allocation and optimize project efficiency
• Lead and mentor project team members
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
• Participate in contract negotiations and customer meetings
• Identify and pursue opportunities for project expansion or improvement
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations
• Contribute to the development of aerospace manufacturing best practices
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Sciences, or related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or related industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing aerospace manufacturing projects
• Strong knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and standards
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance
• Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation techniques
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Experience in contract negotiation and customer relationship management
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment
