About the Role:
We are looking for a highly capable Project Manager with hands-on knowledge or working experience in Microsoft Fabric to lead end-to-end delivery of modern data platform projects. The ideal candi should be strong in project execution, stakeholder management, Agile practices, and have a good understanding of MS Fabric components such as Data Factory, Lakehouse, Power BI, Real-Time Analytics, and Data Engineering workflows.
This role requires close coordination with cross-functional technical teams to ensure seamless delivery, quality standards, and alignment with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead and manage full project lifecycle planning, execution, itoring, and closure.
- Prepare detailed project plans, resource allocation charts, and delivery timelines.
- Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and ensure timely escalation/resolution.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality bench ks and follow best practices.
Microsoft Fabric Expertise
- Understand how MS Fabric components work across the data lifecycle, including:
- Data Factory (pipelines, orchestration)
- Lakehouse / OneLake
- Data Engineering workloads
- Power BI semantics, reporting & dashboards
- Real-Time Analytics
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to translate business requirements into Fabric-based solutions.
- Ensure governance, security, and performance optimization within Fabric environments.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
- Serve as the pri y liaison between clients, internal teams, and leadership.
- Conduct regular status reviews, project up , and steering committee meetings.
- Facilitate Agile cere ies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Coordinate work across cross-functional teams Data Engineers, Analysts, Power BI Developers, QA, DevOps, and Architects.
Risk, Quality & Delivery Management
- Identify project risks early and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure timely approvals, documentation, and compliance.
- Maintain clear communication on progress, delays, or dependency challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure project alignment with business goals.
Ideal Candi Profile
- 8-12 years of overall IT experience, with 3+ years in project management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or modern data engineering platforms.
- Experience managing data pipeline, analytics, or BI/Power BI-based projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple teams, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: PMP, CSM, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- Exposure to Azure Data services (ADF, ADLS, Synapse, Databricks) is a plus.
- Experience working with distributed teams across geographies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
