Job Description

As a Transition Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing end-to-end service and project transitions, ensuring minimal disruption, successful handover, and smooth knowledge transfer into steady-state operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Planning, leading, and executing end-to-end transitions for small to mid-sized deals, ensuring smooth delivery and minimal service disruption. - Defining and agreeing on transition success criteria, outputs, and deliverables with clients and internal stakeholders. - Preparing and managing detailed transition plans and stream-specific activities such as environment, applications, processes, reporting, and current issues. - Leading and monitoring Knowledge Transfer (KT) with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure coverage of all relevant technical and process areas. - Measuring KT and other transition streams" success, identifying and addressing gaps or risks proactively. - Providing regular status updates and progress reports to all relevant stakeholders, including executives and client teams. - Overseeing transition financial management to ensure alignment with budgets and cost optimization. - Collaborating with internal delivery, operations, and client/vendor teams to drive execution. - Supporting RFPs/pursuits from a transition solution standpoint and preparing solution inputs as required. - Ensuring risk identification, mitigation, and escalation while maintaining compliance with ITIL, governance, and quality standards. - Conducting go/no-go assessments and facilitating successful service acceptance into steady-state operations. - Traveling to domestic and international client/vendor locations for planning, KT, and execution as necessary. - Capturing and sharing lessons learned to contribute to the organization's transition to best practices and methodologies. You should possess the following key skills for this role: - Excellent communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills. - Strong stakeholder management (internal & external) and client-facing skills. - Proficiency in risk management, decision-making, and judgment under pressure. - Leadership and people management abilities to drive cross-functional collaboration. - Strong quality compliance, governance, and reporting discipline. - Ability to handle conflict resolution and escalation management effectively. To qualify for this position, you should have: - 10-15 years of IT/Service Management experience, with at least 5+ years in transition or transformation management. - Proven success in leading small to mid-sized transitions across global environments. - Solid understanding of ITIL, service management processes, and project management frameworks. - Hands-on experience in knowledge transfer planning, service migration, and client onboarding. - Experience with transition solutioning for RFPs/pursuits is a strong advantage. - Flexibility to travel (domestic/international) for transition activities. Preferred Education & Certifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, Engineering, or related field. - ITIL v3/v4 certification required. - PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/SAFe certification desirable.,
