As a Project Manager/Site-Incharge at the construction company in Coimbatore, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of construction projects. Your responsibilities and activities will include: - Planning: - Creating a construction project management plan - Generating a construction estimate based on material take-off (MTO) - Predicting the resources required to complete the project - Coordinating: - Collaborating with project consultants to obtain Good for Construction (GFC) drawings for seamless progress - Managing relationships with contractors and suppliers - Coordinating with the Sr. Planning Engineer to gather details from project consultants and sales team - Project Management: - Supervising construction schedules, activities, and resources like materials and equipment - Overseeing subordinates, PMC team, construction team, and hiring subcontractors as needed - Cost Management: - Assisting in budget preparation - Ensuring costs remain within allocated/planned budgets - Negotiating contracts with vendors for favorable agreements - Monitoring: - Conducting regular quality checks - Certifying contractor bills - Performing quality and safety inspections to maintain standards - Others: - Securing and maintaining all necessary permits and licenses from relevant agencies In addition to the above responsibilities, you will interact with various internal departments and external consultants. Essential knowledge and skills for this role include industry expertise, negotiation, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, risk management, leadership, and proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, Word & PowerPoint). Your attributes should include strategic thinking, attention to detail, organization, and a deadline-driven approach.
