Job Description

Role Overview

  • The Project Manager NOP is responsible for overseeing operations and implementation of CanKids CCC Project in the assigned state(s). This includes managing hospital-based support units (CHSUs), liaising with government bodies, planning and budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, team leadership, and reporting. The Project Manager will work closely with the Deputy General Manager South to ensure seamless execution of CanKids programs across assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Operations

  • Implement the Change for Childhood Cancer (CCC) project across assigned state(s) through planning, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Supervise and manage CHSU teams operating within hospitals across the region.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of all program activities as per annual targets.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and gap analysis to identify new unit opportunities.
  • Draft, process, and implement MoUs and agreements with local partners.
  • Monitor field-level operations including attendance, patient logistics, and support service delivery.

Government & Stakeholder Liaison

  • Act as the primary liaison for coordination with government officials and health departments under the CCC initiative.
  • Advocate for pediatric oncology support services and policy improvements at the state level.
  • Engage with hospital administrations, NGOs, and donor partners for program advancement.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Conduct regular field visits for program oversight and performance tracking.
  • Guide social workers in effective data entry and reporting using MIS and Excel-based systems.
  • Analyze trends and submit monthly and quarterly program reports.
  • Ensure alignment with CanKids Research, Monitoring & Evaluation framework.

Team Support & Capacity Building

  • Support and mentor social workers and field staff to strengthen service delivery.
  • Coordinate training programs and disseminate operational resources, tools, and SOPs.

Other Extended Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Postgraduate degree in Project Management, Social Work (MSW), or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in health sector development, nonprofit project management,
  • or hospital program operations

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in project and stakeholder management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working with government or hospital partners
  • Familiarity with pediatric care settings preferred
  • Competent in data management and report generation
  • Willingness to travel extensively and manage multiple locations
