Position Summary

The Publishing Manager will oversee and manage the entire publishing process for our self-published authors. This role is responsible for managing editorial, production, and distribution workflows while ensuring high-quality standards and an excellent author experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate project timelines, and ensure successful, timely publication of client manuscripts.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the end-to-end publishing process for client projects, from manuscript submission to final publication
• Coordinate with creative professionals to ensure projects meet quality and deadline requirements
• Guide authors through the self-publishing process, providing clarity on steps, timelines, and deliverables
• Oversee the production schedule, prioritizing workloads and managing resources effectively
• Develop and implement publishing best practices and standard operating procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve publishing processes and enhance the author experience
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure our offerings remain competitive
• Collaborate with marketing team to ensure alignment between publication timelines and promotional strategies
• Manage relationships with print and distribution partners
• Prepare and present periodic reports on publishing activity, project status, and performance metrics
• Train, mentor, and lead junior publishing staff

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Publishing, English, Communications, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in any service based company.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Deep understanding of publishing processes,
• Familiarity with print-on-demand, eBook production, and digital distribution channels (e.g., Amazon KDP, IngramSpark)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Proficiency in relevant publishing tools and software (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, project management platforms)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Publishing or Business
• Experience working directly with independent or self-published authors
• Familiarity with metadata optimization and book marketing strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Benefits:
