Job Summary
The Project Head – Skill Development & Vocational Education is a senior leadership role responsible for strategizing, managing, and expanding multiple skill-building and vocational initiatives, including:

  • A Skill Development Center for rural and tribal youth
  • A Government ITI
  • A Center of Excellence for Women focused on economic empowerment

This role involves creating scalable skilling models, ensuring compliance with government standards, driving employability outcomes, forging partnerships, and managing diverse teams across multiple locations. The incumbent will integrate vision, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement to support the mission of transforming lives through education and livelihood enhancement.

Educational Qualifications

Essential:

  • Postgraduate Degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Management, Education, or related disciplines

Desirable:

  • Certification in Project Management, Skill Development, or Public Policy
  • Familiarity with ITI regulatory frameworks and vocational training standards

Experience

  • Total: Minimum 8–10 years in development, vocational training, or education sector
  • Relevant: At least 4 years in project leadership or operational head roles, preferably managing multi-location or multi-stakeholder projects in a skilling/ITI environment

Key Result Areas (KRAs)1. Strategic Leadership & Project Oversight

  • Formulate strategic plans for three verticals:
  • Skill Development Center (tribal & rural livelihoods)
  • ITI operations – ensuring compliance with DGT/NCVT norms
  • Women’s Skill Development Center – focused on short-term training and entrepreneurship
  • Develop annual action plans, budgets, and performance dashboards
  • Integrate digital learning and innovative pedagogy into vocational training
  • Align operations with national skill missions and industry needs

2. Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships & Fundraising

  • Manage relationships and secure funding from:
  • Government agencies
  • CSR partners and donor organizations
  • Draft and monitor proposals, MoUs, and fund utilization reports
  • Represent the organization in government and industry forums to strengthen positioning

3. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure regulatory compliance for ITI and other skill programs
  • Develop and implement SOPs for operational consistency
  • Drive audits and accreditation readiness for ITI and training centers

4. Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Lead and mentor teams across multiple centers, fostering a culture of accountability and purpose
  • Recruit, train, and retain high-quality faculty, trainers, and support staff
  • Conduct periodic reviews, performance appraisals, and professional development initiatives

5. Community Impact & Placement Outcomes

  • Achieve annual skilling and placement targets across all centers
  • Launch women-focused programs for micro-entrepreneurship and self-reliance
  • Monitor student progress and ensure counseling and welfare mechanisms

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
