Position: Project Head Consulting (Senior Advisor)

Engagement Type: Retainer-based consulting role

Location: Chennai (with periodic site visits and leadership interactions)

We are a fast-growing civil contracting business moving from founder-led execution to a professionally managed organisation. Our focus is on building scalable systems, processes, governance, and leadership depth across projects.

This is not a day-to-day site role or a replacement hire. The mandate is to professionalise the business and strengthen project delivery.

What Are We Looking For

A senior construction professional who has operated as CEO, COO, Head of Projects, or equivalent levels in a reputed PMC, EPC, or civil contracting firm. Retired or semi-retired professionals with hands-on experience in building systems and leading multi-project portfolios are welcome.

Core Mandate:

• Project Structures & Reporting

  : Define clear roles, responsibilities, and reporting cadence across projects.

• Standardise Processes:

  Implement structured planning, scheduling, cost control, and quality governance frameworks.

• Execution Predictability

  : Improve timelines, budgets, and outcomes through proactive monitoring and controls.

• Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer

  : Guide the core team and build leadership capability.

• SOPs & Playbooks:

  Convert experience into repeatable systems, templates, and guidelines.

• Senior Advisory:

  Support founders and senior management on technical, commercial, and organisational decisions.

Ideal Background

• 20+ years in Civil Contracting, EPC, or PMC environments.
• Prior role as CEO, COO, Head of Projects, or equivalent.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong execution credibility with a systems and process mindset.

What will not work

• Consultants who only deliver presentations without implementing solutions.
