Project Engineer(Solar)

Project Engineer – Solar | Roles and Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Design

• Develop project plans, technical designs, and layouts for solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, or hybrid).
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and resource evaluations.
• Prepare technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and system sizing.

2. Procurement & Coordination

• Identify and evaluate technical specifications of solar components (modules, inverters, structures, cables, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for timely delivery of materials.
• Review and approve material submittals and ensure compliance with project standards.

3. Installation & Execution

• Supervise site activities, including civil, structural, and electrical works.
• Ensure proper installation as per design, safety, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and resolve site-level issues.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Implement and monitor safety procedures and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
• Conduct quality checks, inspections, and ensure workmanship meets specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards (IEC, MNRE, DISCOM, etc.).

5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee pre-commissioning tests and ensure system performance validation.
• Support the commissioning process and documentation.
• Prepare as-built drawings, technical reports, and handover documentation.

6. Project Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain project records, daily reports, and progress updates.
• Prepare technical documentation, project status reports, and MIS updates.
• Coordinate with the project manager and stakeholders for periodic reviews.

7. Operations Support (if applicable)

• Support O&M teams post-installation with performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Identify optimization opportunities for improving system efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
