Project Engineer - Solar Energy

We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer specializing in solar energy to join our expanding team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the installation and commissioning of solar projects to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with design standards. You will also assist in system design, component sourcing, and procurement, focusing on cost-efficiency and quality. Collaborating with clients to understand their energy needs and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will conduct site surveys, prepare data-driven designs and reports, and maintain documentation while analyzing performance and ensuring compliance with industry standards and electrical codes. You will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient solar photovoltaic (PV) system designs, such as single line diagrams, site layouts, and equipment specifications, using software like AutoCAD. Developing comprehensive technical documentation, including project proposals, system schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOM), will also be part of your tasks. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, along with 2 to 4+ years of relevant experience in solar or electrical projects. On-site experience and good knowledge of suppliers are required, as well as proficiency in tools like Excel, AutoCAD, and MATLAB. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork abilities are essential. The ability to work independently and collaboratively is also crucial. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Ulsoor, Bengaluru. The role may require travel up to 75%, and candidates must be willing to reliably commute or relocate to Bengaluru, Karnataka, before starting work.
